There are so many reasons that this tea is great for your skin, so I will try to not to take too much time giving you the low down! Let me tell you a secret or two about the 6 main ingredients in this heavenly mix..
Let’s get to the good stuff..
ORGANIC – THE GLOW – DAVID’S TEA
Cinnamon: Besides the fact that cinnamon just tastes soooo good! ESPECIALLY on toast! (c’mon who’s with me!?)..it actually does wonderful things for your skin! It’s great to use cinnamon for acne and eczema treatments. It can help to improve your complexion and skin tone. It also helps to “reduce the signs of aging” (yes, it’s in quotes because I mean really, I cant say that it is going to take off 10 years or anything!) What I DO mean by this is that cinnamon plumps your skin, which in turn, MAY reduce signs of agings by plumping some of your fine lines.
Rose Hips: These babies are jam packed with antioxidants! They contain a high amount of vitamin A, which is you don’t already know is one of the best vitamins for your skin. Another vitamin that is great for your skin, well….besides like all of them, is vitamin C! And, you’re in luck! because rose hips are so high in vitamin C that they contain 50% more than you’d find in an orange!
Nettle Leaf: A great treatment for acne prone skin. May also help with the appearance of blemishes and scars! Nettle leaf also contains astringent properties that may help with eczema.
Rooibos: Packed with zinc, vitamin D, rooibos neutralizes the free radicals, and promotes “healthy skin” producing cells! And tastes absolutely delicious in my cup.
Rose Petals: LOVE rose petals on my skin, in my bath, in my tea, on my face, love them! They have so many benefits including, soothe irritated skin and able to reduce redness. They can help with tired/puffy eyes and ridding of dark circles! Another awesome thing about these little gems is that there are natural oils in rose that helps your skin maintain moisture!
Marigold: Anti-septic, anti-inflammatory, & anti-bacterial properties that are present in marigold make it a great treatment for your skin! I know it sounds like a lot of Anti-‘s, but trust me, when it comes to marigold for your skin, you should definitely be PRO!
*Note: It is always best to do a test patch on your skin before using any type of new product or treatment to ensure you don’t have any reactions! You don’t want to find out the hard way once you have plastered your face with something new!
